Bringing hope and healing to women overwhelmed by the issues of life.
The target audience will be women in need of direction and counseling resulting from traumatic changes in their life. This includes, but is not limited to, women who are victims of abuse, women transitioning from incarceration, and women overwhelmed by the daily issues of life.
A. Crisis intervention Provide counsel, referral, and activities in the immediate aftermath of the crisis to minimize the effects.
B. Counseling Providing a positive, systematic process of intervention and principles to help one deal with the circumstances, relationships, and issues of life.
C. Community Resources and Referral Having ready resources and procedures to provide assistance and support to improve life situations.
D. Safety Planning Assessing immediate needs of the client and make plans for successful evacuation from an unsafe environment.
E. Community Education Workshops Educational programs presented to various organizations designed to raise awareness of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and sexual harassment.
F. Assistance with Law Enforcement Collaboration Provide assistance to individuals to help them through the process of contacting and working with Law Enforcement when police intervention is necessary.
G. Assistance with Crime Victims Compensation Procedures To provide assistance to a crime victim helping navigate through the process of filing a claim.
H. Support for Transitional/Reentry Work to advance toward goals that have been identified that are aimed at increasing one’s economic stability and ability to live successfully in a new, healthy, violent free environment.

C.H.O.I.C.E.S. is designed to help people identify and evaluate their attitudes, values, beliefs, and behaviors which will allow them to make choices that will free them from the bondage of their past and move them forward with hope and healing.
Program has two steps - Initial Program and Follow-up.
I. INITIAL PROGRAM
The initial program starts from the date of the intake and lasts until the woman leaves the facility (up to three months) or completes intervention services.
Once the Initial Program is completed, there will be a Follow-Up Program offered consisting of activities, such as phone calls, emails, and informational bulletins mailed. Participation in the Follow-Up Program will be voluntary.
